The Weather Resistant Heavy Duty Electromagnetic Gate Lock Kit is designed to provide reliable electronic locking for pedestrian and driveway gates in demanding outdoor environments. This heavy-duty magnetic lock uses an armature plate and an electrically energized steel plate to create a strong magnetic locking force. With a 1,300 lbs. holding force and zinc-enhanced magnetic components, this lock provides a strong and dependable security solution for exterior gate applications.

The locking mechanism is sealed inside an epoxy-filled stainless steel housing with a threaded conduit to protect the internal components from moisture and environmental exposure. The lock has been tested for temperature, water resistance, and humidity and is designed for operation from 14°F to 131°F. The weather-resistant construction also helps protect the lock against tampering and vandalism. The included Z bracket and L bracket allow the magnetic lock to be positioned off the face of the gate and overlapped with the second gate leaf or post for proper installation.

This complete kit includes a 12V or 24V relay and transformer designed specifically for integrating the magnetic lock with an automatic gate opener. Unlike solenoid gate locks that release when power is applied, a magnetic lock requires continuous power and must have power interrupted when the gate opener begins its cycle. The included relay uses the gate operator's opening pulse to temporarily interrupt power to the magnetic lock, allowing the gate to release. Customized wiring instructions are provided for integration with your specific gate opener.
